Iron ore and aluminium bauxite are two of the most important ores for many industrial applications. Mining these large-volume resources requires support from analytical methods that have been developed to measure specific criteria. Many of these criteria are used to determine how the ore will behave during metallurgical processing, which directly affects the value of the ore. The importance of these measurements means it is vital to have confidence in your geochemical results including consistent and traceable QAQC protocols.
ALS provides comprehensive geochemical knowledge of analysing bulk ores along with extensive mineralogy and metallurgical expertise in-house. This variety of knowledge and the analytical methods available mean that all ore test work can be carried out by the extended ALS network, allowing for streamlined sample handling. Once samples are submitted to ALS. coordination of required material to different sections for analysis are provided.
ALS will arrange for transportation of samples within our network of labs to ensure the method of choice is carried out, therefore, you can submit samples to any of our network of geochemistry labs and they will be forwarded to the required laboratory. If you have a combined project for Mineralogy or Metallurgy, as well as geochemistry please contact your local client services team to discuss options for sample transport.
