Environmental Testing

ALS provides a full range of environmental analytical testing services, with specialisation in the analysis of soil, sediment, water (raw, waste, drinking, catchment, recycled, saline, product), leachates, industrial hygiene and radiochemistry. Our analytical laboratory testing services for these matrices includes routine, trace-level organics (volatile- and semi-volatile, herbicides, pesticides, PCBs and disinfection byproducts), metals and nutrients, inorganic non-metallics and microbiological, as well as specialty testing areas in some regions.

Fluid analysis & testing

ALS helps improve the maintenance practices of our clients by providing superior analytical testing solutions for oil, fuel, coolant and metalworking fluids. We offer in-service lubricant analysis, engine coolant analysis, diesel fuel analysis, metalworking fluids analysis and wear debris analysis, as well as expert consulting and training. We support clients across industries, including construction, transportation, manufacturing, lubricant suppliers, mining and oil exploration, both locally and internationally.

Dairy testing

ALS offers specialised testing of milk and dairy products for functional components, residues and contaminants. Our senior technical staff regularly support R&D projects in milk and dairy products, allowing us to provide solutions that are not available from other providers. ALS is a world-leading provider of beta-casein testing in milk and dairy products, for those interested in producing A1 beta-casein free dairy products. We also offer a range of other specialised protein tests, focused on functional and high-value proteins.

Honey testing

ALS provides fast and cost-effective options for the high-volume honey testing needed by beekeepers, manufacturers and marketers. We are fully accredited under IANZ 17025 and are MPI RLP approved for stress-free exporting of your honey when you work with our lab. As the market leader in NZ honey testing, with excellent support available during and after testing, ALS can help you with all your honey testing needs. Our honey testing services include the specialised tests required by MPI for Manūka honey.
